I began my studies in 2006 at Universidade Católica de Pernambuco in Brazil, where I earned a B.A. Honours in History with QTS. I graduated with distinction, summa cum laude, and my degree conclusion work focused on the inclusion of Brazilian Indigenous history in the school’s curricula. This was followed by a master’s in Religious Studies, where I focused on the history and social aspects of Wicca in Brazil, particularly why and how people would become Wiccans and issues surrounding their permanency in this religion. At the end of my master’s, I went to Canada to study English, and from 2013 to 2017, I was a lecturer at the Centro Universitário Joaquim Nabuco (UNINABUCO), also in Brazil. There, I delivered lectures for degrees in Pedagogy, Business, Tourism and Social Work, covering the following subjects: philosophy and ethics, philosophy of education, scientific method, sociology, anthropology, human rights education and sociopolitical and economic aspects of Brazil.
In 2015, I began studying for my doctorate in Religious Studies, which I completed in 2019 at the same university as my bachelor’s and master’s. The title of my thesis was ‘Contemporary Paganism in Brazil: The Magic of Reality. On the five hundred pages, I wrote about the history of contemporary Paganism in the West and Brazil; I covered eight Pagans religions and all regions of Brazil, conducting interviews, questionnaires and field research, which led me to be the leading authority on the academic study of contemporary Paganism in the Brazilian context, adding to the fact that I was the first to write about the history of Wicca in this country, on my masters. My doctoral thesis aimed to solve the problem of finding the founding and unifying link between contemporary pagan religions. My hypothesis focused on magic rather than the much-acclaimed celebration of nature.

From 2019 to 2021, I lived in Hamburg, Germany, where I completed intensive German courses, reaching the C1 level. During this time, I also authored a teaching material comprising one hundred pages, which was published as an e-book in 2023. This material was integrated into the curriculum of the undergraduate course in Religious Studies at the Universidade Católica de Pernambuco in Brazil. The e-book, titled “Indigenous Sacred Texts and Narratives,” offers a comprehensive analysis of the history of Brazil’s Indigenous peoples, with a particular focus on their religious beliefs and practices.
Since 2022, I have lived and worked in England, teaching various subjects such as history, religious education, philosophy and ethics, sociology, politics, psychology, and criminology in schools and colleges. In 2024, I enrolled in the undergraduate certificate program in Archaeology at the University of Oxford.
I have published one book, nine book chapters, seventeen journal articles and conference proceedings, and have written two sets of teaching material. I have given thirty-six talks and twelve interviews, including media appearances, as well as ten short courses. Beyond that, I have done peer reviewing for Journals, participated in many events and was a member of the evaluation board and supervisor. More articles have been accepted for publication and will be published soon in English and Portuguese.
